Gulangyu Island, Xiamen

During our short stay in Xiamen, we went to this very beautiful paradise called Gulangyu Island. It is the biggest island of Xiamen. The roads here are short with many twists and turns. We had to stay close together because it was very easy to get lost.

The island is also called the “Island of Pianos”, with its very good music tradition. There are more than 500 pianos among 6000 households on the island. Many famous musicians in China were born and brought up in Gulangyu Island.

I had many nice memories here. We had long memorable walks here together with friends while we shared stories about our expierences in Qingdao and the IP Seminar.
